College of Osteopathic Medicine Convocation Ceremony

The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Convocation / White Coat Ceremony is a significant milestone in a medical student’s career.  It symbolizes and is a recognition of the student's professionalism, dedication, and commitment to serve. It is a time to celebrate the students, their family and friends, and all those whose steadfast support helped make their achievements possible.


Convocation Ceremony Policies

Individuals participating in the coating of matriculating students during the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Convocation Ceremony (Summer), must be full-time, paid faculty members and campus based of MSUCOM.  Alumni, Clinical Faculty, etc., are not involved in this particular ceremony.  They can fully participate in the MSUCOM Hooding and Commencement Ceremony (Spring Semester).
