Information for Matriculating Students
The MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine Scholarship committee awards scholarships to incoming students based on their application materials, taking into account factors such as evidence of financial need, academic prowess and service to community. There is no scholarship application to complete for incoming students. Notifications of awards may occur anytime between September and June, prior to matriculation.
Information for Current Students
In January or February of each year current MSUCOM students will have access to complete a scholarship application using the scholarships.msu.edu website. One application will be used to evaluate an application for the 75+ scholarships available to students currently enrolled in the osteopathic curriculum.

The MSUCOM Scholarship Committee utilizes the MSU Scholarship system to house each available scholarship, when the scholarship season begins you can navigate to scholarships.msu.edu and click on "Browse Opportunities" then type "osteopathic" into the search bar to see scholarships available through MSUCOM.
Please note – Scholarships for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 academic year are currently closed so doing a search at this time will not show any available awards for MSUCOM students.

FAQ
When can I begin filling out the 2024-2025 MSUCOM Scholarship application?
The MSUCOM Scholarship Application is available staring in January/February of each year. Please keep an eye on your emails for the specific dates.
Do I have to fill out the application multiple times if I qualify for more than one award?
No, by filling out and submitting the one application in its entirety, you will be eligible for any award within the MSUCOM scholarship system that you match the criteria for.
I received a recurring award in the last scholarship cycle, do I need to fill out the application again?
Yes, even if you received a recurring award such as the MOCF, Kobiljak, or even the non-resident scholarship, you must fill out an application each year to stay eligible.
When will I know if I will receive a scholarship from MSUCOM?
All students will be notified if they will be receiving a scholarship by the end of July each year.
How do I apply for scholarships?
When the application opens, go to scholarships.msu.edu and login using your MSU NetID. Follow the instructions for completing the general application as well as the conditional application for osteopathic medicine. Make sure you hit submit when you are done.
