PA Medicine Program

The PA Medicine Program at Michigan State University offers a 27-month, 108-credit curriculum leading to the degree of Master of Science in PA Medicine. The curriculum allows PA students to team with other health professionals during both their didactic and clinical training experiences. Students are challenged to meet the needs of an ever-changing healthcare marketplace while learning a collaborative approach to medical care.

PA students will learn and work closely with MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine students, and will be introduced to osteopathic medical philosophy in order to have a broader, more holistic approach to patient care. At the start of the program, 48% of the didactic curriculum (29 of the 60 didactic credit hours) for the PA Medicine students will be taught interprofessionally with the D.O. medical students. The curriculum includes four semesters of classroom and laboratory courses, and three semesters of clinical supervised practical experience courses.
