The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine is very proud of our tradition in offering the Dr. William G. Anderson Lecture Series, Slavery to Freedom: An American Odyssey. Once again in 2021, we are bringing three nationally acclaimed leaders to campus to spark discussion and interaction on issues around diversity, civil rights and social justice.
Dr. Cornell West, thought-provoking speaker, social commentator and academic who has written more than 20 books, he’s best known for his classics Race Matters and Democracy Matters. Professor West’s work examines the crossroads of race, gender and class in American society.
We hope that you’ll plan on taking part of these dynamic lectures and what we believe will be thought-provoking presentations by these speakers.
