M.D. degree and Internal Medicine Residency, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia.

Fellowships in Endocrinology & Metabolism and in Clinical Nutrition, University of Wisconsin, Madison. 

Research Fellowships, University of Wisconsin and Harvard Medical School Thorndike Laboratory.

 

Research areas: adaptive thermogenesis, sympathetic nervous system regulation,  animal models of obesity & metabolic syndrome, early animal studies of pioglitazone, invasive Lythrum salicaria
