Heather Trudeau is an Assistant Professor and Pre-Clinical Coordinator of the Michigan State University PA Program. She is the former Director of Admissions and Assistant Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, where she also worked in family practice and was a preceptor at a student-led interprofessional free health clinic.
Heather is a member of the American Academy of PAs, the Michigan Academy of PAs, the PA Education Association, and the Arkansas Academy of PAs. In fact, Heather is the outgoing President of the Arkansas Academy of PAs. Before moving to Little Rock, Heather worked as a family practice PA for 11 years at Family Medicine of Michigan in Grand Ledge.
Heather received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a major in nutrition. She worked as a registered dietitian, specializing in renal nutrition, at several dialysis centers in North Carolina, and then Utah. In Utah, she also worked as the Chief Clinical Dietitian for a small hospital. She graduated with a Master of PA Studies in 2006 from The University of Utah.
She has always considered herself a lifelong learner and enjoys using that love of learning along with her past and present experiences to educate future PAs. Outside of work, Heather enjoys reading, running, travel, and teaching group fitness classes.
