Osteopathic Surgical Specialties
The Department of Osteopathic Surgical Specialties includes full-time, part-time and clinical faculty who contribute towards education, research, and clinical aspects of the surgical specialties. Currently, our faculty range from anesthesiology, colorectal surgery, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, to urology. Additionally, we have 1500 clinical faculty practicing throughout the state training medical students in all areas of surgery.
The department trains osteopathic students for the practice of medicine and surgery by developing college curriculum through the organization of classroom, hospital, clinic, and specialty programs that provide the highest quality education and role modeling.
We are committed to developing and assisting in quality research programs, as well as in community health services and continuing medical educational programs that serve the profession, the medical community at large, and the public to improve the quality of health services for all.
