Ongeleke Turner is a native Detroiter and licensed clinical social worker with over thirteen years of experience in behavioral health, across various care settings including inpatient psychiatry, emergency department, outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care. As a licensed clinical social worker and certified social worker in sport, she works at the intersection of mental health, high performance and real-life humanity supporting individuals navigating demanding academic, professional and performance-driven environments.

In addition to her clinical work, Ongeleke has held leadership and supervisory roles in inpatient psychiatry and hospital-based behavioral health settings and has served as a Field Instructor for Master of Social Work students, supporting the development of emerging clinicians in the field of social work.

Ongeleke is dedicated to serving as a member of the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine Wellness & Counseling Team, providing holistic wellness support to medical students across the continuum of their training.

A proud Michigan State University alumna, Ongeleke believes wellness is rooted in addressing the needs of the human underneath every role and responsibility they carry. Guided by the belief that “the details matter,” she is committed to providing culturally competent, individualized support to students as they progress through their medical education.
