Dr. Furqan B. Irfan is an assistant professor and director of research development at the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. He has broad ranging experience in research and academic health system development, epidemiology, population and global health, big data analysis, translational public health, health services research, healthcare business and policy.

Stephanie Jalaba is an Assistant Professor and Principal Faculty in the Michigan State University PA Program. Stephanie recently relocated to Michigan, where she was born and raised, after spending several years in Arizona. Her clinical background is in hospital medicine. Dr. Jildeh is an assistant professor at Michigan State University, as well as a team physician for Michigan State University athletics and the US Olympic Ski and Snowboard team.He specializes in sports medicine, joint preservation, cartilage restoration, and joint reconstruction of the shoulder, knee, hip, and elbow.

A lifelong resident of Macomb County, Denise is the Administrative Assistant for the Macomb site supporting the day to day operational, financial, and human resource activities for the site.

Assistant Professor, Osteopathic Surgical Specialties

Dr. Joseph attended Medical School and completed her Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She went on to complete a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of Connecticut. Throughout her training, she has covered sporting activities from high school football to Division I and Division III collegiate football, field hockey, and men and women’s soccer, ice hockey, and basketball.

Dr. Eric P. Kasten is an Assistant Professor, Director of the Biomedical Research Informatics Core (BRIC), and Associate Director of the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI). Dr. Kasten supervises the operations, outreach, and research activities of a team of more than 20 employees. CTSI supports both domestic and international projects by providing research support to MSU investigators for data management, data security, and analysis of research data.
