Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) Dean Joyce deJong, D.O., joined the Spartan Bus Tour in October, traveling through northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula to see firsthand how the college’s partnerships and commitment to community and rural health care strengthen Michigan. Representing MSUCOM alongside Dean deJong were Anissa Mattison, D.O., FACOOG, associate dean for Strategic Initiatives and Operations and Detroit Medical Center; Mary Kay Smith, Ph.D., R.N., CHSE, FSSH, director of the Learning and Assessment Center; and Rebecca Malouin, Ph.D., MPH, associate dean for Global Health and director of the Global Health Institute.
