Dean Joyce deJong, D.O., has been named the 2026 Women of Excellence Award recipient from the Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA).
A distinguished alumna of the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. deJong is being recognized for her outstanding leadership, dedication to osteopathic medicine and lasting contributions to medical education and public health. Throughout her career, she has broken barriers and advanced the profession, including becoming the first osteopathic physician to serve as president of the National Association of Medical Examiners (NAME).
Today, as dean of MSUCOM, Dr. deJong continues to inspire future physicians through her leadership, service and commitment to excellence.
