The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine Class of 2024 celebrated its 99.6% match rate with family, friends and classmates Friday, March 15. In addition, 100% of military and international students matched.
Among the class, 77% will stay in Michigan for their residency, helping to strengthen care for communities in Michigan. In addition, 44% will train in a residency program under the college’s Statewide Campus System, a postgraduate medical education network with 27 member institutions.
“We are so proud of our students who have worked so hard to get to this moment. The work it takes to get to Match Day and graduation is incredible. And our students don’t only spend time learning to care for patients, they also work in various programs with our faculty team, volunteer physicians and physician mentors to care for people in our communities while here with us. They now will go out to serve people and communities throughout the state and nation.”
– Joyce deJong, dean of the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine.
